mountain adventure
above the polar circle!
This journey is for you who want to
challenge yourself and feel nature’s coldest breath.
We will sleep in tents and carry our backpacks
ourselves. We will take the boat up streams into the
Vistas valley. The valleys are rich of birch tree
and of wild flora & fauna. The mountain parts are
barren and the vegetation is low, but the wildlife
is active.
Throughout the journey you will see
distinct difference between rich green valleys and
barren rock, some covered in snow (still in the
summer!). We will camp in tents beneath massifs,
deltas and glaciers. Walking from 12 – 15 kilometres
a day, which can be hard if you are not used to walk
in varied terrain. There are a lot of stony and
steep hills, we will cross trough small creeks and
rivers and we promise you that you will sleep well
during the nights. The nature is completely
wonderful to glance upon as we walk towards
Kebnekaise.
When we finally arrive at Kebnekaise
mountain station we will take a sauna and have
dinner. In the morning we will take the helicopter
back to Nikkaloukta.
