Soon the hunting
begins
August 25 is the bird hunting premiere. This year we are fully booked
until October where we still have availability for capercaillie, black
grouse and ptarmigan hunting.
January this year we had a visit from a British journalist; Kate Gatacre
from Shooting Times & Country Magazine. For a couple of days we hunted
capercaillie and black grouse on skis; what we call winter trophy
hunting or “toppjakt”. You can download and read the article here:
The first couple of days had
quite heavy rain but now it
really starts to look much
better. The water levels are
perfect thanks to the warm
weather in April and May
releasing the melt water
earlier.
We still have opening for our
summer fishing special in July and
early August. The bird hunting premier is fully booked but we have
opening in October for our popular
Nordic Top 3 where we hunt capercaillie
and black grouse and fish for pike, all in 3 days.
At last after several months of darkness, cold and snow we can see that
the spring is coming. There is still a lot of snow but now the sun
starts to warm. This is perfect weather for ice fishing and adventures
on the ice. Check out our
ice fishing package>>>
We are now fully booked for the bird hunting premiere. There is still
some availability in September and we recommend you to book now if you
want to hunt
with pointing dog. In October and November we have weeks
available for Trophy
hunting and
Nordic Top 3.

The best of two worlds
The snow is still deep but
the temperature is now over
10 degrees during the days.
The best from two worlds,
snow and sun!
The ice fishing activities in March gave some real nice catches of char
and trout but also a lot of pike and perch. You can feel the sun and we
recommend wearing sunscreen right now.
To enhance the experience when staying at our camp we are right now
planning a reconstruction of the camp that will take place early in
June, before the fishing season begins. Regarding the summer, we still
have a few places left for the
Fishing trek on Fulumountain, July 1-5th.
If you are interested we recommend you to book your place now.
If you are in the neighborhood, please come by the camp and we can plan
for your next outdoor adventure.
See you!
/Samuel

Update on the fall hunt
Even though we have seen a decline in the number of hatchlings this year
compared to last year, the hunts have been positive. The snow and the
cold have finally arrived and the wether is perfect for trophy hunting.
We had minus 17 degrees Celsius for a couple of days ago and soon we can
start the ice fishing season!

Greetings
from Sweden,
This years spring fishing started some days ago. The ice fishing for
artic char on Fulu Mountain is at its peak right now, and during whole
April. The weather is warming up, and the fish are really active.
Down in the forest the snow has began to melt, but it still lay
approximately half a meter. The ice on several of the forest lakes have
began to get dark and soon the swans can slip into the water (they have
been circulating for over a week, searching for open water).
One early morning I saw 17(!) capercallies. 1 cock and 16 hens. Probably
is sat more in the trees. This is very good for the spring mating and of
course promising for this years hunting season (starts 25th of august).
We are already booking activities for the summer and autumn. Do not
hesitate to contact us with Your inquiry. We are here to help you
experience the great outdoors of Sweden.
