We hunt
ptarmigan in the Swedish mountains where you can choose between 4
different hunting packages:
#1 Live comfortable in a
cottage with sauna and all other facilities. Each morning your guide
will drive you to the hunting ground where you will start walking from
the valleys up to the mountains. This package includes some walking in
the forest and are also the cheapest one.
#2 Wilderness camp. Together
with your guide and all the equipment you will fly helicopter to a
hunting area up in the mountains where you will place the base for the
next couple of days. Choosing this package gives you more hunting time
during the days since there will not be as much transport needed. The
wilderness camp is normally two tents, one for eating and one for
sleeping. There are no facilities at the camp.
#3 A combination of living
comfortable and using the helicopter. You will live comfortable in a
cottage or at a hotel. Each morning you will drive to the heliport where
the helicopter takes you to a new hunting ground every day.
#4 Your own combination! Let us
know how you want your hunt and we will give you a suggestion.
The hunting style will differ
during the season and in the beginning of the season
we will hunt with pointing dog and when the snow has fallen we will
change the dog to skis.
Recommended
weapon is shotgun with calibre 12-20 and when the snow has fallen we use
rifle with calibre
